  1. Introduction

    1. By using Blacklist''s review platform, you accept these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with these terms and conditions or any part of these terms and conditions, you must not use our platform.

    2. No review or story on Blacklist is the opinion or position of Blacklist, LLC. Users are responsible for their own content.

    3. Anyone who wishes for their name to be removed from a review may request so by contacting Blacklist.

  2. Story Collection

    1.  Users are encouraged to leave honest and unbiased reviews, irrespective of whether they are positive or negative.
      b. Users must not be incentivized to leave positive reviews only. If any incentive is provided for reviews, it will be for honest feedback, not for a specific type of feedback.
      c. We do not discourage or prevent the submission of negative reviews.

  3. Story Moderation

    1. Our platform ensures that the reviews submitted are genuine. You must have been employed by the company featured in your story. Both automated and human moderation techniques may be employed to ensure authenticity.

    2. Reviews will not be edited in a way that changes the original message or intent of the reviewer.

    3. All reviews, whether positive or negative, will be subject to the same level of scrutiny and validation.

  4. Story Publication

    1. We strive to publish all genuine reviews and do not exclude reviews based on their positive or negative sentiment.

    2. Reviews will be presented in an unbiased manner, without giving undue prominence to either positive or negative feedback.

    3. If a reviewer has a material connection to the company being reviewed (e.g., receiving compensation or a free product), this will be disclosed clearly.

    4. Our platform's processes related to the collection, moderation, and display of reviews are transparent. Detailed guidelines are available for users to understand how overall ratings are determined.

  5. Defamation and Anti-SLAPP

    1. Users are free to share their experiences, positive or negative, without the fear of retribution from companies.

    2. However, for a statement to be considered defamation, it must be untrue, available to the public, and cause harm to a business or individual.

    3. Any attempt by businesses to intimidate or threaten reviewers through legal action will be in violation of Anti-SLAPP statutes.

  6. Liabilities and Responsibilities

    1. Users are solely responsible for the content of their reviews. By submitting a review, the user confirms that the statements made are true and based on their personal experiences.

    2. Businesses listed on our platform have the right to respond to reviews but must do so in a professional and respectful manner.

    3. We reserve the right to remove or label suspicious reviews. If you believe a review is fake or violates our guidelines, please contact us.

  7. Updates to Terms

    1. We may revise these terms and conditions from time to time. The revised terms and conditions will apply to the use of our website from the date of publication.

  8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    1. These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with The Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA) and any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Washington, DC, USA pursuant to DC Code § 1-204.31 et seq.
